The Bergara Premier Series is a bolt action rifle in .300 PRC with a 22" barrel, a 1:9 twist and 5-round capacity.

This barrel length is the usual compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while still being manageable to carry all day, and short enough that a suppressor on the end does not make it unwieldy. Twist rate determines which bullet weights stabilize: a faster twist favors heavier, longer projectiles.

The .300 PRC is commonly chosen for elk, large game and long-range work. Significant energy at distance, and significant recoil with it.

The B-14 Crest is a high-performance rifle inspired to meet the needs of the most demanding backcountry hunters.
