Description
The Browning BRN XB2 MCM LR is a bolt action rifle in 6.8 Western with a 26" barrel, a 1:7.5 twist and 3-round capacity plus one chambered.
A long barrel gives the cartridge room to build velocity, at the cost of handling in tight spaces and some added weight. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with. It ships without iron sights, so plan on an optic and a way to mount it: a red dot or holographic sits on a rail, a scope needs rings and a base, and a rifle with neither needs a mount first.
A bolt action locks the cartridge up rigidly and repeatably, which is what makes it the accurate choice for hunting and target work – there is no gas system or reciprocating carrier moving while the shot breaks.
Get the look of wood and the practicality of composite with the X-Bolt 2 McMillan LR WHD. This bolt-action hunting rifle features a composite McMillan Game Scout stock with Wood Hydrographic Decoration (WHD) finish and a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. Redesigned receiver and bolt with a fluted heavy sporter weight stainless steel barrel. Includes Recoil Hawg muzzle brake.
