BRN 036066211 XB2 SPEED FDE,SR MB 243

Description

The Browning BRN XB2 Speed is a bolt action rifle in .243 Winchester with a 22" barrel, a 1:10 twist and 4-round capacity plus one chambered.

This barrel length is the usual compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while still being manageable to carry all day, and short enough that a suppressor on the end does not make it unwieldy. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with. It ships without iron sights, so plan on an optic and a way to mount it: a red dot or holographic sits on a rail, a scope needs rings and a base, and a rifle with neither needs a mount first.

The .243 Winchester is commonly chosen for deer and varmints. A common choice for younger or recoil-sensitive shooters that still handles deer-sized game.
