The Browning X-Bolt 2 Special Max is a bolt action in .300 Winchester Magnum with a 22" barrel, a 1:8 twist and 3-round capacity plus one chambered.

This barrel length is a common compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while staying manageable to carry. That is faster than the usual twist for this cartridge, which suits the heavier, longer bullets distance shooters tend to favor.
