Browning 036121299 X-Bolt 2 Special Max LR SPR Full Size 6.8 Western 3+1 20″ Matte Black Heavy Sporter Threaded Barrel, Matte Black Steel Drilled & Tapped Receiver, Flat Dark Earth/Black Adjustable Ma

Description

The Browning X-Bolt 2 Special Max is a bolt action rifle in 6.8 Western with a 20" barrel, a 1:7.5 twist and 3-round capacity plus one chambered.

This barrel length is the usual compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while still being manageable to carry all day, and short enough that a suppressor on the end does not make it unwieldy. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with.

A bolt action locks the cartridge up rigidly and repeatably, which is what makes it the accurate choice for hunting and target work – there is no gas system or reciprocating carrier moving while the shot breaks.

Browning X-Bolt rifle optimized for precision hunting, long-range target shooting and competition. Featuring a heavy sporter, threaded barrel; adjustable DLX Target trigger; extended bolt handle, and adjustable Max composite stock. Includes three swivel studs and thread protector.
