Description
The Burris Handgun is a 2x riflescope with a 20mm objective. The reticle is in the second focal plane.
Fixed 2x has no zoom ring to move or forget, and a fixed power keeps the mechanism simpler than a variable of the same class.
Second focal plane: the reticle stays the same visual size at every magnification, which keeps it easy to see at low power. Its subtensions are only correct at one magnification, usually the maximum, so holds taken at another power have to be adjusted.
The 20mm objective sets how much light the scope can gather and how tall the rings need to be to clear the bell.
