Description
The Bushnell R7 FFP MRAD Hldovr is a 4-20x riflescope with a 50mm objective. The reticle is in the first focal plane.
A 20x top end is intended for precision at distance. High magnification narrows the field of view, shows mirage more readily and makes the picture more sensitive to how steady the rifle is held.
First focal plane: the reticle grows and shrinks with the magnification, so its subtensions – the hash marks used to hold for wind and drop – measure the same at every power. The trade is a reticle that can look fine at low power and coarse at high.
The 50mm objective sets how much light the scope can gather and how tall the rings need to be to clear the bell.
