Description
The Camillus Pristine features a 3" VG-10 Carbonitride Titanium blade, drop point, plain edge, G-10 handle, black finish.
The blade is VG-10 Carbonitride Titanium, a Japanese high-carbon stainless that takes a very fine edge, holds it well, and resists corrosion – a long-standing favourite for folding knives. G-10 is a fiberglass laminate: light, dimensionally stable, and grippy even wet.
Around three inches is the everyday carry sweet spot – long enough for boxes, cord, food prep and general utility, short enough to disappear in a pocket.
Carry laws are set locally as well as by state, and a 3.0" blade is legal to carry in many places and not in others – check your state and city rules before you carry it. Knives ship directly to you with no FFL transfer and no background check, unlike a firearm. Keep the blade dry and the pivot clean, and touch the edge up on a strop or fine stone before it gets properly dull – it is far less work than bringing back a blunt edge.
VG10 is considered a "super steel", because it is designed to maintain sharpness and durability, the steel is bonded with Carbonitride Titanium. This grants enhanced resistance to rust and corrosion and makes the blade up to 10x harder than untreated steel so the blade can stay sharp for even longer.
