The Chiappa Firearms 1886 Takedown is a lever action in .45-70 GOVERNMENT with an 18.5" barrel, a 1:18 twist and 4-round capacity plus one chambered.

This barrel length is a common compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while staying manageable to carry. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with. It comes with fiber optic front/skinner peep rear sights.
