Description
The Christensen Arms 700 is a bottom metal assembly.
The bottom metal holds the magazine in the stock or chassis and carries the release. Replacing it is how a rifle built for a hinged floorplate is converted to a detachable box magazine.
It has to match three things: the action, the stock inletting, and the magazine pattern – AICS is the common one on precision rifles. A mismatch in any of the three means it will not feed even if it bolts up.
Most swaps need the stock relieved to clear the new part. Budget for that unless the maker states it is a drop-in for your exact stock.
This is a part or accessory, not a firearm, and ships directly to your address.
