The Cimarron Firearms 1886 is a lever action in .45-70 GOVERNMENT with a 26" barrel, a 1:18 twist and 8-round capacity.

A long barrel gives the cartridge room to build velocity, at the cost of handling in tight spaces and some added weight. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with. It comes with yes sights.

The .45-70 GOVERNMENT is commonly chosen for heavy game at short range and brush hunting. Large, slow bullets with a lot of energy up close.
