The Cimarron Firearms 1865 is a lever action in .45 Long Colt with a 20" barrel, a 1:16 twist and 7-round capacity.
This barrel length is a common compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while staying manageable to carry. Twist rate determines which bullet weights stabilize: a faster twist favors heavier, longer projectiles. It comes with adjustable rear sight.
