The Cold Steel Sr1 Lite features a 4" 8Cr13MoV stainless blade, clip point, plain edge, black finish.
The blade is 8Cr13MoV SS, a budget-friendly Chinese stainless that sharpens easily and resists rust well, though it needs touching up more often than premium steels. Stainless scales are durable and easy to clean, though heavier than polymer.
This is a larger folder aimed at outdoor and work use, where reach and cutting power matter more than minimising pocket bulk.
Carry laws are set locally as well as by state, and a 4.0" blade is legal to carry in many places and not in others – check your state and city rules before you carry it. Knives ship directly to you with no FFL transfer and no background check, unlike a firearm. Keep the blade dry and the pivot clean, and touch the edge up on a strop or fine stone before it gets properly dull – it is far less work than bringing back a blunt edge.
The SR1 Lite is made to mimic its big brother in every respect with the exceptions of having substituted the G-10 handle with a Griv-Ex one and using the more affordable 8Cr13MoV blade steel. It comes razor sharp and ready for your toughest task or biggest adventure.
