The blade is 8Cr13MoV SS, a budget-friendly Chinese stainless that sharpens easily and resists rust well, though it needs touching up more often than premium steels.
A fixed blade of this size suits hunting, camp and outdoor work where strength matters more than pocketability – there is no pivot to fail and it cleans easily.
Carry laws are set locally as well as by state, and a 3.63" blade is legal to carry in many places and not in others – check your state and city rules before you carry it.
