Description
The Crimson Trace Horizonline 4K is a laser rangefinder.
The 4K figure is a MAXIMUM, measured off a large reflective target in good conditions. Range to a deer, in poor light or through rain, is a fraction of it – that is normal and is true of every rangefinder, so compare like with like when reading two of these numbers against each other.
What matters in the field is how quickly it returns a reading and whether it holds one on a small target at an angle. Angle compensation matters if you hunt steep ground: it reports the horizontal distance the bullet or arrow actually flies, which is shorter than the line of sight.
A rangefinder is only as steady as the hands holding it. Magnification helps you find the target but makes a wobble harder to hold on it, and a rest helps at distance.
This is a part or accessory, not a firearm, and ships directly to your address.
