The blade is 9Cr18MoV SS, a higher-carbon Chinese stainless that holds an edge noticeably longer than 8Cr13MoV while staying easy to maintain.
A fixed blade of this size suits hunting, camp and outdoor work where strength matters more than pocketability – there is no pivot to fail and it cleans easily.
