The Connecticut Valley Arms / CVA Scout is a single shot in .300 AAC Blackout with a 16.5" barrel, a 1:8 twist and 1-round capacity.
A carbine-length barrel keeps the rifle maneuverable, trading some velocity for handling. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with.
