The Daniel Defense Vertical Foregrip Milspec+ is a forward grip.
A foregrip, handstop or thumb rest gives the support hand a fixed reference on the handguard, so the same hold is repeatable rather than found again each time.
Which shape suits you depends on how you hold the rifle: a vertical grip suits a hand pulled back near the magazine well, an angled grip a hand further forward, and a handstop only marks the limit rather than filling the hand.
Attachment is M-LOK – the slotted standard used on most current handguards. KeyMod slots look similar and are not compatible.
