The Daniel Defense DDM4 is a semi-auto in .223 REM/5.56 NATO with a 10.3" barrel, a 1:7 twist and 30-round capacity plus one chambered.
A carbine-length barrel keeps the pistol maneuverable, trading some velocity for handling. It comes optic ready, so it is ready to take an optic without extra machining.
The .223 REM is commonly chosen for varmints, predators and target work. Cheap, widely available and light on recoil, which makes it an easy cartridge to shoot well.
