The Magnum Research Desert Eagle L5 Series is a semi-auto in .44 Magnum with a 5" barrel and 8-round capacity.
This is a full-size handgun barrel length – more velocity and a longer sight radius than a compact, in exchange for size.
The .44 Magnum is commonly chosen for handgun hunting and large game defense. Heavy recoil, and generally more cartridge than most shooters want for practice volume.
