The Diamondback Firearms DB15 is a semi-auto rifle in 7.62 x 39mm with a 16" barrel, a 1:9.5 twist and 28-round capacity plus one chambered.
A carbine-length barrel keeps the firearm maneuverable, trading some velocity for handling. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with. It ships without iron sights, so budget for an optic, rings and a base if you do not already have them.
The 7.62 x 39mm is commonly chosen for range practice, competition and carry. The most widely available centerfire handgun round, which keeps practice affordable and ammunition easy to find.
