The Fox Labs Foxfire Inferno Pepper is an OC spray.
OC spray is a defensive irritant. It inflames the eyes and airways and is intended to create the seconds needed to get away.
Two figures get quoted and only one of them means much. The percentage is how much oleoresin capsicum is in the mix; Major Capsaicinoids (MC) measures the pungent compounds that actually do the work, and it is the more meaningful number. Spray pattern matters as well – a stream carries further and resists wind, a cone covers more, and a gel throws back less in an enclosed space.
It does not work on everyone. Effects vary with the individual, and some people are barely affected. Treat it as a way to break contact, not as something that ends an encounter by itself.
Several states and cities restrict pepper spray by size, formulation, or who may buy it, and some cannot receive it by post at all. Check your local rules before ordering.
