Description
The Henry Repeating Arms Frontier is a lever action in .22 LR with a 20" barrel, a 1:9 twist and 16-round capacity.
This is a conventional rimfire barrel length. Rimfire powder is fully burnt well before the muzzle, so extra length adds sight radius and weight rather than velocity. That is faster than the usual twist for this cartridge, which suits the heavier, longer bullets distance shooters tend to favor. It comes with adjustable rear/bead front sights.
The .22 LR is commonly chosen for small game, training and high-volume practice. Ammunition is cheap enough to shoot all day, which is why it remains the standard first rifle and the standard practice rifle.
