Description

The Heritage Arms Settler is a lever action in .22 LR with a 20" barrel, a 1:16 twist and 15-round capacity.

This is a conventional rimfire barrel length. Rimfire powder is fully burnt well before the muzzle, so extra length adds sight radius and weight rather than velocity. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with. It comes with adjustable buckhorn sights.

The .22 LR is commonly chosen for small game, training and high-volume practice. Ammunition is cheap enough to shoot all day, which is why it remains the standard first rifle and the standard practice rifle.
