The Howa M1500 Walnut Hunter Mini is a bolt action rifle in .350 Legend with a 16.25" barrel, a 1:9.45 twist and 10-round capacity plus one chambered.

At this length it is easier to work in thick cover or from a blind, trading some velocity for the handling. That is faster than the usual twist for this cartridge, which suits the heavier, longer bullets distance shooters tend to favor. It ships without iron sights, so plan on an optic and a way to mount it: a red dot or holographic sits on a rail, a scope needs rings and a base, and a rifle with neither needs a mount first.

The .350 Legend is commonly chosen for deer hunting in straight-wall cartridge states. These exist to satisfy regulations that prohibit bottleneck rifle cartridges for deer.
