The Kimber Camp Guard is a semi-auto in 10mm with a 5" barrel, a 1:16 twist and 8-round capacity plus one chambered.

This is a full-size handgun barrel length – more velocity and a longer sight radius than a compact, in exchange for size. It comes with fixed novak-style sights.

The 10mm is commonly chosen for hunting, the outdoors and range use. The most powerful common semi-auto handgun cartridge, which is why it is carried in bear country. The manufacturer markets it as a defensive handgun; whether it suits you is a decision to make with your own training and requirements in mind.
