Luth-ar 308-BS-11 Buffer Body 308/7.62mm Rifle AR-10

Description

The Luth-AR Buffer Body Rifle is a buffer system component, rifle length.

The buffer and spring absorb the bolt carrier at the back of its travel and drive it forward again. Together they set how the rifle cycles.

Buffer weight is a tuning part: a heavier buffer slows the carrier, which is how an over-gassed rifle – a suppressed one, commonly – is brought back into balance. Too heavy and the rifle short-strokes instead.

Buffer and tube have to match. Carbine, rifle and A5 lengths are different, and the wrong combination will not assemble or will not cycle.
