The Lyman Case Neck Dipper Kit is a case preparation tool.
Case preparation is the work done to fired brass before it is loaded again: trimming to a uniform length, chamfering and deburring the case mouth so a bullet seats without shaving, and cleaning the primer pocket so the new primer sits flush.
Consistency is the reason any of it is done. Cases that vary in length or neck tension release the bullet differently, and that variation shows up on paper.
