Description
The Mossberg Patriot is a bolt action rifle in .308 / 7.62 NATO with a 22" barrel and 5-round capacity plus one chambered.
This barrel length is the usual compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while still being manageable to carry all day, and short enough that a suppressor on the end does not make it unwieldy.
The .308 is commonly chosen for hunting, target shooting and general use. Probably the most versatile centerfire cartridge available – ammunition is everywhere, and it handles most North American game.
