Description
The Mossberg Patriot Super Bantam 6.5 is a bolt action in 6.5mm Creedmoor with a 20" barrel, a 1:8 twist and 5-round capacity plus one chambered.
This barrel length is a common compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while staying manageable to carry. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with.
The 6.5mm Creedmoor is commonly chosen for long-range target shooting and deer-sized game. It became the default precision cartridge because it delivers high-BC bullets with modest recoil and good barrel life.
This is a serialized firearm. It ships to a licensed dealer near you rather than to your door, and you complete the transfer there with a Form 4473 and a background check. State and local rules govern what can be shipped where, so check yours before ordering – and if you are unsure, ask us first.
The classic styled Mossberg Patriot looks great on the gun rack and feels great when shouldered. It has the patented LBA trigger and spiral-fluted bolts with knurl pattern to ensure smooth, comfortable and reliable cycling. It has a 20" barrel with recessed crown to ensure accuracy and durability. It comes with a dropbox magazine for convenient loading and unloading.
