Description
The Mossberg Patriot Full Size 6.5 is a bolt action rifle in 6.5 PRC with a 24" barrel, a 1:8 twist and 4-round capacity plus one chambered.
A long barrel gives the cartridge room to build velocity, at the cost of handling in tight spaces and some added weight. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with.
The 6.5 PRC is commonly chosen for long-range hunting and precision shooting. It pushes 6.5mm bullets faster than Creedmoor, trading barrel life and recoil for reach.
Behind every revolution is a Patriot. The Patriot combines modern innovation with traditional styling. Attractive, accurate features spiral fluted bolt and streamlined bolt handle; threaded barrel; recessed match barrel crown and patented LBA user adjustable trigger. Includes Weaver style bases and drop box magazine.
