Proof Research 150740 Elevation 2.0 6.5 PRC 3+1 20″ Carbon Fiber Match Grade Threaded Barrel, Black Receiver w/Picatinny Rail, Tactical Flat Dark Earth Fixed Carbon Fiber Stock, Right Hand

Description

The Proof Research Elevation 2.0 6.5 is a bolt action rifle in 6.5 PRC with a 20″ barrel, a 1:7.5 twist and 3-round capacity plus one chambered.

This barrel length is the usual compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge’s velocity while still being manageable to carry all day, and short enough that a suppressor on the end does not make it unwieldy. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with.

The 6.5 PRC is commonly chosen for long-range hunting and precision shooting. It pushes 6.5mm bullets faster than Creedmoor, trading barrel life and recoil for reach.
