The Proof Research Elevation MTR 2.0 is a bolt action in 7mm BC with a 16.5" barrel, a 1:8 twist and 3-round capacity plus one chambered.

A carbine-length barrel keeps the rifle maneuverable, trading some velocity for handling. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with.

Bolt actions are commonly chosen for hunting and target shooting, where the simpler mechanism and rigid lockup are valued.
