The Proof Research Elevation 2.0 Midnght is a bolt action in .22 Creedmoor with an 18" barrel, a 1:8 twist and 4-round capacity plus one chambered.
This barrel length is a common compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while staying manageable to carry. Twist rate determines which bullet weights stabilize: a faster twist favors heavier, longer projectiles.
