The Proof Research Elevation 2.0 is a bolt action rifle in .22 Creedmoor with a 20" barrel. This is a left-hand action: the bolt handle and ejection port are on the left side, laid out for a left-handed shooter. A right-handed shooter would be reaching over the receiver to work the bolt. This barrel length is a common compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while staying manageable to carry. Bolt actions are commonly chosen for hunting and target shooting, where the simpler mechanism and rigid lockup are valued. This is a serialized firearm.
