Description
The Proof Research Elevation MTR is a bolt action rifle in 6mm ARC with a 16.5" barrel and a 1:8 twist.
This is a left-hand action: the bolt handle and ejection port are on the left side, laid out for a left-handed shooter. At this length it is easier to work in thick cover or from a blind, trading some velocity for the handling. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with.
The 6mm ARC is commonly chosen for target shooting and medium game. Designed for efficiency and long-range performance from a short action.
