The Proof Research Tundra is a bolt action in .300 PRC with a 22" barrel and a 1:9 twist.
This barrel length is a common compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while staying manageable to carry. Twist rate determines which bullet weights stabilize: a faster twist favors heavier, longer projectiles.
The .300 PRC is commonly chosen for elk, large game and long-range work. Significant energy at distance, and significant recoil with it.
This is a serialized firearm. It ships to a licensed dealer near you rather than to your door, and you complete the transfer there with a Form 4473 and a background check. State and local rules govern what can be shipped where, so check yours before ordering – and if you are unsure, ask us first.
