The Rossi R92 16.5 8R is a lever action in .44 Magnum with a 16.5" barrel, a 1:30 twist and 8-round capacity plus one chambered.
A carbine-length barrel keeps the rifle maneuverable, trading some velocity for handling. Twist rate determines which bullet weights stabilize: a faster twist favors heavier, longer projectiles. It comes with peep hole front/drift adj rear sights.
The .44 Magnum is commonly chosen for handgun hunting and large game defense. Heavy recoil, and generally more cartridge than most shooters want for practice volume.
