Description

The Rock River Arms Rra Light Mountain Rifle is a semi-auto in .223 REM/5.56 NATO with a 16" barrel, a 1:9 twist and 20-round capacity.

A carbine-length barrel keeps the firearm maneuverable, trading some velocity for handling. That is slower than the usual twist for this cartridge, so it favors lighter bullets; very heavy projectiles may not stabilize. It ships without iron sights, so budget for an optic, rings and a base if you do not already have them.

The .223 REM is commonly chosen for varmints, predators and target work. Cheap, widely available and light on recoil, which makes it an easy cartridge to shoot well.
