Description

The Ruger / Sturm, Ruger & Co. Mini Thirty is a semi-auto in 7.62 x 39mm with an 18.5" barrel, a 1:10 twist and 20-round capacity.

This barrel length is a common compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while staying manageable to carry. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with. It comes with blade front/ghost ring rear sights.

The 7.62 x 39mm is commonly chosen for range practice, competition and carry. The most widely available centerfire handgun round, which keeps practice affordable and ammunition easy to find.
