The Ruger / Sturm, Ruger & Co. SP101 is a double action/single action in .38 Special with a 2.25" barrel, a 1:18.75 twist and 5-round capacity.
A barrel this short keeps the pistol easy to conceal and carry, at the cost of some velocity and a shorter sight radius. Twist rate determines which bullet weights stabilize: a faster twist favors heavier, longer projectiles. It comes with fixed sights.
