The SOG S.O.G Recondo Fx features a 4.60" Cryo 440C stainless blade, serrated edge, satin finish.
The blade is Cryo 440C SS, a classic American stainless that resists corrosion strongly and sharpens readily, with moderate edge retention. A serrated edge bites into rope, webbing and fibrous material far better than a plain edge, and stays aggressive long after a plain edge has dulled. Stainless scales are durable and easy to clean, though heavier than polymer.
A fixed blade of this size suits hunting, camp and outdoor work where strength matters more than pocketability – there is no pivot to fail and it cleans easily.
Carry laws are set locally as well as by state, and a 4.6" blade is legal to carry in many places and not in others – check your state and city rules before you carry it. Knives ship directly to you with no FFL transfer and no background check, unlike a firearm.
