Description
The Sako Optilock Rings is a set of scope rings, 30mm, low height.
Rings clamp the scope tube to the base or rail. Their diameter has to match the tube exactly – 1 inch, 30mm and 34mm are the common sizes and none of them is adjustable.
Ring height decides how high the scope sits. It has to clear the objective bell and the barrel, and it should still let you get a full sight picture with your cheek on the stock rather than lifted off it.
Torque the ring screws to the maker's figure with an inch-pound wrench and work across the caps in stages. Over-tightening rings dents a scope tube, and a dented tube is not repairable.
