Description
The Savage 110 Core Tactical is a bolt action rifle with a 26" barrel.
This is a left-hand action: the bolt handle and ejection port are on the left side, laid out for a left-handed shooter. A long barrel gives the cartridge room to build velocity, at the cost of handling in tight spaces and some added weight.
A bolt action locks the cartridge up rigidly and repeatably, which is what makes it the accurate choice for hunting and target work – there is no gas system or reciprocating carrier moving while the shot breaks.
