Description

The Savage Arms 110 Hunter Full is a bolt action rifle in .223 REM/5.56 NATO with a 22" barrel, a 1:9 twist and 4-round capacity plus one chambered.

This barrel length is the usual compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while still being manageable to carry all day, and short enough that a suppressor on the end does not make it unwieldy. That is slower than the usual twist for this cartridge, so it favors lighter bullets; very heavy projectiles may not stabilize.

The .223 REM is commonly chosen for varmints, predators and target work. Cheap, widely available and light on recoil, which makes it an easy cartridge to shoot well.
