The Savage Arms 110 Ridge Hunter is a bolt action in .300 AAC Blackout with a 16.5" barrel, a 1:8 twist and 10-round capacity plus one chambered.
A carbine-length barrel keeps the rifle maneuverable, trading some velocity for handling. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with.
The .300 AAC Blackout is commonly chosen for short-range work and suppressed shooting. It was designed to run subsonic loads well through a suppressor.
