Savage Arms 32503 110 Ridge Hunter 400 Legend 10+1 20″ Heavy Barrel, Flat Dark Gray Adj LOP Synthetic Stock, Right Hand

Description

The Savage 110 is a bolt action rifle in .400 Legend with a 20" barrel, a 1:16 twist and 10-round capacity.

This barrel length is the usual compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while still being manageable to carry all day, and short enough that a suppressor on the end does not make it unwieldy. Twist rate determines which bullet weights stabilize: a faster twist favors heavier, longer projectiles. It comes with iron sights.

The .400 Legend is commonly chosen for deer hunting in straight-wall cartridge states. These exist to satisfy regulations that prohibit bottleneck rifle cartridges for deer.
