Savage Arms 19142 25 Lightweight Varminter-T Full Size 222 Rem 4+1 24″ Matte Black Heavy Barrel, Matte Black Carbon Steel Receiver Drilled & Tapped, Satin Brown Thumbhole Laminate Stock, Right Hand

Description

The Savage Arms 25 Lightweight Varminter-T is a bolt action in .222 Remington with a 24" barrel, a 1:14 twist and 4-round capacity plus one chambered.

A long barrel gives the cartridge room to build velocity, at the cost of handling in tight spaces and some added weight. Twist rate determines which bullet weights stabilize: a faster twist favors heavier, longer projectiles.

Bolt actions are commonly chosen for hunting and target shooting, where the simpler mechanism and rigid lockup are valued.

This is a serialized firearm. It ships to a licensed dealer near you rather than to your door, and you complete the transfer there with a Form 4473 and a background check. State and local rules govern what can be shipped where, so check yours before ordering – and if you are unsure, ask us first.

Savage's 25 Lightweight Varminter-T gives a versatile combination of agility and accuracy. This rifle features a 24" medium-contour, carbon steel barrel satin blue barrel that's sleeved for added rigidity. It comes equipped with Weaver-style scope bases and triple pillar bedding. The revolutionary AccuTrigger, adjustable from 2.5 -3.25 lbs, is standard on the Savage Model 25 as well as a 4-round, detachable box magazine.
