Savage Arms 19155 25 Walking Varminter Full Size 223 Rem 4+1 22″ Matte Black Heavy Barrel, Matte Black Carbon Steel Receiver Drilled & Tapped, Matte Black Fixed Varmint Synthetic Stock, Right Hand

Description

The Savage Arms 25 Walking Varminter is a bolt action in .223 REM/5.56 NATO with a 22" barrel, a 1:9 twist and 4-round capacity plus one chambered.

This barrel length is a common compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while staying manageable to carry. That is slower than the usual twist for this cartridge, so it favors lighter bullets; very heavy projectiles may not stabilize.

The .223 REM is commonly chosen for varmints, predators and target work. Cheap, widely available and light on recoil, which makes it an easy cartridge to shoot well.

This is a serialized firearm. It ships to a licensed dealer near you rather than to your door, and you complete the transfer there with a Form 4473 and a background check. State and local rules govern what can be shipped where, so check yours before ordering – and if you are unsure, ask us first.

The Model 25 Walking Varminter gives a versatile combination of agility and accuracy. This rifle features a 22" medium-contour, carbon steel matte black barrel that's sleeved for added rigidity. It comes equipped with Weaver-style scope bases and triple pillar bedding. The revolutionary AccuTrigger, adjustable from 2.5 -3.25 lbs, is standard on the Savage Model 25 as well as a 4-round, detachable box magazine.
