Savage Arms 32713 110 UltraLite Pro Full Size 6.8 Western 3+1 20″ Carbon Fiber Barrel, Savage Woodland Camo Accufit V2 Synthetic Stock, Right Hand

Description

The Savage Arms 110 Ultralite Pro is a bolt action rifle in 6.8 Western with a 20" barrel, a 1:8 twist and 3-round capacity plus one chambered.

This barrel length is the usual compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while still being manageable to carry all day, and short enough that a suppressor on the end does not make it unwieldy. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with.

A bolt action locks the cartridge up rigidly and repeatably, which is what makes it the accurate choice for hunting and target work – there is no gas system or reciprocating carrier moving while the shot breaks.
